Kiwami Ramen: Authentic Asian Ramen Experience in Louisville, KY

Ordered on door dash for lunch at work. Unfortunately got busy right when it arrived and ate the takoyaki cold. Still the best takoyaki I've had in town! I can't imagine how good it would have been if it was piping hot as it had come out of the kitchen. Had (got) to put my kiwami kuro Ramen in the fridge to save for dinner after work. Best bowl I've had in a long time. Perfectly seasoned rich and warm bowl of Ramen to cap off the first cold night of the fall/winter. Can't wait to come into the restaurant! What is there not to love here. My wife and I went into this place, not expecting it, to be nowhere close to how amazing it actually was. The atmosphere is simple, yet inviting, and it's easy to look at. But the food is The Star here for sure. The flavor in the noodles was like no other ramen shop. I have been to across the city and hands down is now. My new favorite ramen house. The service was exquisite. The cocktails were on point I honestly cannot wait to go back hands down. What an amazing job to the entire crew and staff over at this location.

The #2 was enjoyable but not actually spicy, I added two chili oils but I needed more heat. Not a good veg selection on ramen every broth had pork base expected for one. The broth was not very hot like other ramen places. The bathroom was clean and spelled fresh.

Absolutely wonderful experience and absolutely wonderful food. The atmosphere - from the staff working in sight, to the ramen bowls on display, to the shouts of "Itterashai!" when a customer enters - perfectly captures the vibe of "local ramen shop." Even better: Kiwami is one of the few local places, if not the only, to offer Japanese curry, and they do it up right. Full recommendations from start to finish.

Food is pretty good for what you pay. Have been here a few times and probably won’t come back unless I definitely have to. For some reasons I had to wait (sometimes several minutes) at the door before someone came and to be seated everytime. I mean, what’s the purpose of eating ramen at the bar? Because it’s fast and I’m in a rush! If I have to spend at least an hour for a meal, why don’t I go to a proper restaurant?

Great food and great service! We got the takoyaki, soft shell crab bun, BBQ squid, aka ramen. Everything was absolutely delicious! We went on a Friday evening and it wasn't packed, they have street parking or on the side lot where Sapporo is.

Immediately greeted with a smile at the door by behind the counter chefs and then by a greeter/ server. As you can see the atmosphere is new chic Asian- sleek, light and airy. The restaurant is very clean, open and inviting. Serve was knowledgeable about the menu and happy hour options. Light complimentary music playing. Food arrived in a timely manner, visually pleasing the correct temperature. Taste…VERY GOOD! Definitely worth the hassle of finding a pasting place, I highly recommend! Go and enjoy!

First time here and we’re pleased with the experience. Service was friendly and food was delicious. We enjoy good ramen and we’re glad to have discovered this restaurant, will definitely return next time we’re in the area.
